“We hired DJ Jess Riley for our wedding and she was fantastic!!! When we reached out to Get Down Tonight Entertainment, they sent us a link to look through all of their available DJ’s and from there we picked a handful we wanted to talk to. We liked everyone we talked to, but ended up going with Jess because we felt like she really got us. She was easy to plan with and so helpful in setting up our reception timeline. We also had a first dance that was a mashup of two songs, which she created for us, so we could practice. She also did some uplighting for us, which helped set the mood during dinner and then turn up the party during dancing. She really got our music taste and read the crowd well and had everyone dancing. When I learned my grandpa wanted to dance with me, she picked a fun song to slow it down, but was able to quickly get the dance floor bumping again. We got a lot of compliments on her music choices. “Where to even begin… Jess Riley was INCREDIBLE! We can’t recommend her highly enough- do yourself a favor and book! Jess was hands-down our favorite vendor to work with leading up to and during our wedding. She was the perfect mix of easygoing and chill and super on top of things! Communication was timely, clear, and coordinated. Even in the stressful days just before the wedding, we knew that once we got to the Jess-directed portion of the day, everything was going to be perfect. Jess had playlist ready of suggested songs from everything from the first dance, to cake cutting, and everything in between, and at the same time was excited to incorporate our unique tastes and ideas for our wedding day. As just a few examples of how Jess went above and beyond for us: Jess created and adjusted a version of a covered song for our first dance to remove a long instrumental portion. She didn’t bat an eye when I sent her a 30-song playlist of requests from my grandmother, and seamlessly incorporated them into our gathering music and dinner music. She adjusted our cake cutting plan with us on the fly so that we could stay on track with our timeline. She coordinated with two of our friends who played live music for our wedding ceremony, and had our processional and recessional songs on back-up just in case. And I could go on and on. Perhaps the two best endorsements of Jess’ incredible skills were first, guests between the ages of 18 and 80 ALL came up and complimented us on how amazing our DJ was and second, guests demanded a DOUBLE ENCORE from Jess at the end of the night. When we first met her over Zoom, we clicked instantly and she had no problem answering my millions of questions! She’s a rockstar. We booked Jess 13 months in advance and would definitely do it again! After my husband and I go off the call with her, we knew we wanted her. She answered all of our questions: from back-up plans, to insurance, to style- all within a casual conversation. She showed up early to make sure she got the aly of the land, has backup equipment, had lapel mics for our officiant and my husband, and taught our party giving the speeches how to properly use the microphone ahead of time. I was impressed that she not only met with me a week before the wedding to make sure she go the bridal party’s names right, but she met with all of us right before the walk-in to double-check she got it right. That is just very detail-oriented for me and I loved that. She kept the dance floor going all night, we have had a bunch of compliments since- we also added on the uplighting package, which we are both happy we invested in.”

“DJ Jess exceeded our expectations. My partner and I planned a somewhat small wedding (50 guests) during our three month engagement. We were very worried about our guests safety during our COVID-19 wedding and I was hesitant to hire a DJ or have a dance floor at all. Jess ended up being one of the highlights of our night, though. Beforehand, we spoke briefly on the phone, at which point she picked up on our vibe, gave us some guidance, and took care of the rest. She really curated our experience based on what our guests wanted. I imagine that during the pandemic she has had to show up, read the room, and adjust accordingly - she did this seamlessly on Friday. We had a small wedding and weren’t even sure if we wanted to hire a DJ. We didn’t know how responsible it would be to encourage people to dance during a pandemic, and to be honest, were hesitant to spend that kind of money considering we only had 50 guests. We met multiple times before the wedding just because I kept having dreams that everything was going to go horribly wrong and she eased my worries. When the day came, she blew not only me but my guests away too. I can’t count how many people came up to me not only during the wedding but the weeks following to tell me how awesome my DJ was. My favorite moment of the night, and proof of the professional that Jess is, was during the bouquet/garter toss. When we reached out to Get Down Tonight Entertainment, they sent us a link to look through all of their available DJ’s and from there we picked a handful we wanted to talk to. We also had a first dance that was a mashup of two songs, which she created for us, so we could practice. Jess was hands-down our favorite vendor to work with leading up to and during our wedding. She was the perfect mix of easygoing and chill and super on top of things! Even in the stressful days just before the wedding, we knew that once we got to the Jess-directed portion of the day, everything was going to be perfect. Jess had playlist ready of suggested songs from everything from the first dance, to cake cutting, and everything in between, and at the same time was excited to incorporate our unique tastes and ideas for our wedding day. As just a few examples of how Jess went above and beyond for us: Jess created and adjusted a version of a covered song for our first dance to remove a long instrumental portion. She adjusted our cake cutting plan with us on the fly so that we could stay on track with our timeline. “DJ Jess exceeded our expectations. My partner and I planned a somewhat small wedding (50 guests) during our three month engagement. We were very worried about our guests safety during our COVID-19 wedding and I was hesitant to hire a DJ or have a dance floor at all. Jess ended up being one of the highlights of our night, though. Beforehand, we spoke briefly on the phone, at which point she picked up on our vibe, gave us some guidance, and took care of the rest. She really curated our experience based on what our guests wanted. I imagine that during the pandemic she has had to show up, read the room, and adjust accordingly - she did this seamlessly on Friday. We had a small wedding and weren’t even sure if we wanted to hire a DJ. We didn’t know how responsible it would be to encourage people to dance during a pandemic, and to be honest, were hesitant to spend that kind of money considering we only had 50 guests. I am so glad that we did though because Jess really created the celebratory atmosphere that our guests were counting on, and to be honest, desperate for during this strange year. We booked another DJ initially who actually backed out due to complications related to quarantining, so we booked with Get Down Tonight Entertainment just a couple of weeks before the wedding for an even better price and were so pleasantly surprised. “Jess was phenomenal from start to finish during the entire process of selecting a DJ for my wedding. She was responsive every time I had a question or change to the program. We met multiple times before the wedding just because I kept having dreams that everything was going to go horribly wrong and she eased my worries. When the day came, she blew not only me but my guests away too. I can’t count how many people came up to me not only during the wedding but the weeks following to tell me how awesome my DJ was. My favorite moment of the night, and proof of the professional that Jess is, was during the bouquet/garter toss. I had, in the weeks before the wedding, told Jess I didn’t want it to be horribly awkward so we had made a plan to flip flop the traditional. Which meant the girl who won the bouquet would put the garter on the guy that caught the garter. But when the time came and I saw the people within my family and friends who caught the bouquet/garter I grabbed Jess with a quick “Abort! Abort! Do the traditional! Let him put the garter on her!” Jess nodded and seamlessly changed plans. No one had any clue, including my husband, what our original plan was. Jess made it seem like that was the plan the entire time. Jess made my dream wedding a reality, which was basically a giant family reunion where everyone would dance the entire night. I had a very high standard for what I wanted in a DJ (responsive to my emails/texts, flexibility on play list and what was going in the wedding, being at two locations for ceremony and reception, expertise to be able to guide me through the process because I was clueless, an awesome sound system/playlist, and most importantly being friendly and easy to talk to) and she exceeded all of them. “We had Jess Riley as our DJ at our wedding this past August. As soon as we reached out to Jess, she was immediately so responsive & receptive to ANY & ALL ideas we had. We gave Jess ideas of some songs that we like for each different part of our wedding (guests waiting at the ceremony, walking down the aisle, the cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception/party!!!) We sort of had a different theme/idea for each… We gave Jess a few songs we wanted, and somehow she was able to put together these absolutely perfect playlist for every second of the day! We had everything from Bob Dylan & Led Zeppelin, to Leon Bridges, Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliot… and Jess made everything flow so perfectly. Leading up to the wedding, even a few days before, I would text Jess any random thoughts or ideas as they popped into my head, and even though it was the middle of a busy wedding season for her, she always responded and reassured me she would make it work! Our guests danced ALL NIGHT, no one left the dance floor for hours.
